My Own Kind of Paradise

Sometimes I feel my life is a country song. Ok maybe all of the time. I love country music! My man Zac Brown and his band totally nailed it with this one. Here is a brief update of my freakin awesome Memorial Day weekend in his words...

Gonna put the world away for a minute
Pretend I don't live in it
Sunshine gonna wash my blues away
Had sweet love but I lost it
Got too close so I fought it
Now I'm lost in the world tryin to find me a better way
Wishin' I was
Knee deep in the water somewhere
got the blue sky, breeze and it don't seem fair
the only worry in the world
is the tide gonna reach my chair
Sunrise, there's a fire in the sky
never been so happy
never felt so high
And I think i might have found me my own kind of paradise.
Wrote a note said be back in a minute
Bought a boat and I sailed off in it
Don't think anybody's gonna miss me anyway
Mind on a permanent vacation
[Lake Powell] is my only medication
Wishin' my condition ain't ever gonna go away.

Yeah...Talk about paradise! There is no place I'd rather be and no people I'd rather be with. It was awesome!

My little frog...soon to be my Prince Charming if you will

The Fam at Rainbow Bridge

Gotta love the wind!

Freezing...showering...so happy!

Oh ya know...just chillin in some Indian houses
Indian style on an Indian house. No big deal.

Just partyin like the Indians did!

Thanks for the fun time ya'll!

"When you lose yourself, you find the key to paradise"

Yes...I am still living

In case you were wondering. I just kinda forgot to blog for a little while there. You may be privileged enough to get like five posts tonight. That's how behind I am in life right now. Just maybe though...

Anyway....

Allow me to introduce you to Temple Trip Numero 3...good ol Monticello Utah. It was quite the adventure! And one I will never forget. This temple is definitely my favorite one so far. So small and special. By small and simple things are great things brought to pass (something like that:))
So my dad and Matt decided to go motorcycle riding out by Moab for the day, and I just couldn't resist having the chance to be so close to the temple and not going. So I drug Shan along with me and we left, completely spur of the moment! We slept in the tent with the broski that night and then left them there in the morning for their day of riding while we journeyed the two extra hours to Monticello.

We had some fun times with the camera that night!
However, tent sleeping and the lack of shower does not make for a very pretty temple appearance...trust me.
Just drivin the beast. 2 1/2 hours later.....
The temple was insight! yayayaya!
We stopped at the nearby gas station, put on our skirt and brushed our teeth, and then headed up the road to the beautiful temple.

Here we are in front of it.
Like I said, It was so small and so special and just a total different experience from the others I have been to.

I'm really likin this temple goal...it's teaching me so much about everything.

St Geezy Pleazy!

Alrighty...here is the re-cap finally! I know everyone has been waiting for it;) My computer was being beyond retarded and wouldn't upload the pictures for like two million years so after much anticipation...here it is. It was such a great time! I wish we could have stayed longer. Too bad we had to get back to reality, right? I can't tell the whole story so here are some of the highlights.
Pulling out of the Chee so happy and so excited!
Bailee and company. Haha
My friend here is full of surprises but this is the funniest thing I have ever learned about Bai. She has to sleep with a stuffed animal, a doll, and a special blankey. Love it!
We arrived!
And we're ready to party!
This was a major highlight of the trip. It was one of the main reasons why we even decided to go. Summer Temple Trip number 2...check!
I absolutely loved it. I didn't think the weekend could get any better, but then we went to the Temple. It was an amazing experience. I love to see the Temple!

All wet and couldn't be happier!
On Saturday we surprised Shan and got tickets to the Lonestar concert at the Tuachan. It was sooo fun! Slightly chilly, but such a good time!

Goodbye Worldmark. Goodbye St. George. Goodbye sunshine. You have been really good to me. And to my girlies...I loved spending the weekend partying with all of you. Thanks for the great time! Until next time...
